The O-Calc Pro Street View plugin opens the Google Earth software to view an image of a pole’s location based on its latitude and longitude coordinates. Before opening Street View, create or open a .pplx file. The pole coordinates must be included in the .pplx file to display the Street View.
One quick and easy method to add pole coordinates is to click any location within the map area of the Line Design tab, after the pole has been added to the Inventory in O-Calc Pro.
Next, the ‘Set Pole Coords?’ prompt opens, select Yes to accept the pole coordinates displayed.
A red dot icon appears on the map representing the pole’s location. If the .pplx file has spans added those are displayed as blue lines from the pole icon, as shown below.
To activate the Street View plugin, complete the following steps:
1. Open the Options menu and select the Manage Plugins option.
2. Check the box next to Street view and click the Apply button.
3. Select Yes to restart the application and apply your changes.
4. From the File menu, select the Street View option.
